Ad Informandum is the study association for criminal law and criminology of Utrecht. As a study association, we are affiliated to the Willem Pompe Institute of Utrecht University and have the honour to call Prof Dr Ferry de Jong our patron. Ad Informandum's history begins in 1985. Since then, Ad Informandum has grown steadily: it now has over 300 members and no fewer than eight committees. It is led by the XXXVIIth Board and assisted by the Advisory Board. Our aim is to introduce Utrecht law students to the practice of criminal law and criminology. Through our many different activities, we try to achieve an optimal link between theory and practice for law students. All this for one reason only: to generate even more interest in criminology and the most integral part of our legal system; criminal law.
